The Strawberry Line Cafe Project CIC
The Strawberry Line Cafe Project Community Interest Company (no. 6735733) has been set up to provide a working environment giving training and employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities with the object of enabling their economic activity and independence.
The Strawberry Line Cafe will open in the old waiting room, office and store rooms at Yatton Station, adjacent to the Strawberry Line cycle path. The project will train and employ young people with learning disabilities in a real-life situation and will provide new facilities for rail users, cyclists, walkers and the local community.
The Strawberry Line Cafe Project was originally initiated by the Bristol based Brandon Trust and but is now being managed by a Community Interest Company - a form of social enterprise whose profits are used to benefit the community. We are extremely grateful to the following organisations for their support:-
Phase 2 of the project aims to set up and run a cycle hire business for the Strawberry Line.
