Happy New Year!

We’ve been open for just over a year now, and we’re looking forward to building on what we’ve achieved in 2011 to make 2012 even better for the cafe, our customers, and the adults with learning disabilities who are employed or volunteer in the cafe. But… we need your continuing support to do this – the project has no revenue funding, so the cafe has to be self-sufficient financially to carry on in the long term. So whether you’re a railway user, a cyclist, a local, a walker, or just passing through – please keep coming to see us, and tell your friends about us too! Just to remind you why you should, here are some of the things our customers told us in 2011:

We visited the Strawberry Line Cafe whilst staying with our daughter and new son-in-law who live in Yatton. Had a fantastic cooked breakfast and really enjoyed the atmosphere and novelty of being in this handly little listed railway cafe – what a delight!

I cycled from Yatton from Cheddar, I had a bacon sarnie, the best I ever had!

Such a nice surprise to have a cafe with a lot of personality to it at a station. Lovely comfortable decor, love the touch of the books and the games. Many interesting things to look at, makes it all feel like a true break and not just a stop off. All combined with efficient service. Very happy to have stumbled upon the cafe.

What a wonderful project. I wish you every success for many years to come. The food, coffee and atmosphere is fantastic.

First time on the cycle track, great cafe – atmosphere perfect, very friendly staff, lots of choice for snacks. We will return with more cyclists!

Great place to relax after watching the steam trains on Sundays!

Lovely coffee and delicious date and walnut cake. Thank you.

Great panini! Love the way the cafe vibrates when a train comes in!

What a brilliant transformation! Well done to all involved. Sure you will go from strength to strength. Very friendly staff!

Gorgeous porridge – and a lovely 50′s station atmosphere.
